Assignment 1: Definition of Leisure (Chiwen Chang)

This is a photo taken from the field behind my grandparents house. It represents my perspective of leisure. For me, leisure is being able to relax, relieve yourself from stress, while being able to fully taking in your surroundings. Going somewhere away from all the crowds, densely located buildings and traffic so that you can feel "free" and peaceful both physically and mentally. You don't have to go to fancy resorts to find that kind of leisure. Sometimes, simply being surrounded by nature can do the job.

Friend Leisure

This is my definition of friend Leisure, I like to have a good time with my friends when I have a chance. This picture was taken at a club that we went to one time this month. It is me and my friends all  having a good time and enjoing ourselves. This represents what I do with my free time with my friends and how we spend.

Friend Leisure

This picture is a picture of me and a bunch of my buddies going out to eat dinner in Chicago. This picture represents how with a lot of my free time I like to hangout with my friends and have a good time. My friends mean a lot to me because we always have a fun time when hanging out and they have always been in my life whenever I needed some support or someone to talk to. I have built good relationships with my friends in the past years and feel like I can tell them anything thats on my mind and bothering me. Leisure defined by me would be any activity that one can perform that gets them away from stress in someone's life and allows them to have fun for a short period of time.

Family Relationship

This is a picture of my sister, mom, dad and me that was taken when my family and I went out to celebrate my birthday. This picture represents leisure for me because my favorite way to spent my free time is with my family who cares for me and love me more than anything. Me being able to spend time with my family means the world to me because they have always been there for me through the good and the bad times, and have always supported me and loved me ever since I was born. With having a close relationship with my family I am able to talk to them about anything and get there insight on any issue I may have. My personal definition of leisure would be any activity outside of work and stress where one can participate wether by them-self or with other peers that allows them to relieve stress, forget about work, and other issues in there life and have some fun.
